Episode-252- Food Forest Part 4 of 4

The fourth and final video of the series shows what is growing in the front yard. The guild around the magnolia tree is new this year and contains some perennial plants such as comfrey and hairy vetch that is sure to come back next year with its multitudes of striking purple flowers. I chuckle as I just watched this video from June 29 and how glad I was at the time with the way things were progressing. Today most everything in the video is 2-4 times larger. The sweet potatoes are starting to blossom and it’s time to order garlic and onions from GrowOrganic.com. I’m also just realizing that the summer has been going by so well and the backyard occupies so much of my time that I did not do a July posting. Oh well there’s next year. Anyway the point of the video is to demonstrate how one can tastefully begin to transform their front yard to mini food forest. As long as it is pretty or pretty and delicious then it can be cultivated for show and tell.
